Hidden Eyes

I stand here, on the shore and stare off into the night. Soft breeze upon my back, the moon smiling on my face. My eyes reflecting in the stars, as the moon casts my eerie shadow behind me.

Turning, I look down, wondering what lies behind my eyes. In the blackness of my shadow, I see beyond.

Always truth and kindness had been there, but tonight, ohh tonight, something else lurks in the vast darkness. Pain, anger, rage, despair.
